I see nothing wrong with your answer. There was no violation. I can see some jerk deciding to report you for whatever reason… but Yahoo! Answers shouldn’t have followed through with a suspension. That’s just crazy. ABSOLUTELY appeal that suspension. And from what I’ve seen on here, appeal over and over. Be clear and precise and detailed, but never rude (put the same info you put here). I’ve seen more than once that if one is persistent with appeals, they can succeed in getting a suspension overturned.

I don’t get it – I’ve seen your answers often and I don’t understand how the answer above can in any way be construed as a violation…

    Hi Ooops.

I have seen your answers to many questions on here and in my opinion you always give good and polite advice.

I cannot understand why the above answer gained you a violation let alone a suspension. I would definately appeal and I wish you good luck.

I myself have received the odd violation, but I always appeal and Yahoo have always recinded the violation. The reasons the reporter of me gave was “solicitation”. Hmmmmmmmm, obviously couldn’t think of anything better.

I do not see anything wrong with what you said at all. First of all if you win a lottery no one is going to ask for your credit card number. No one will ask for any kind kind of info in an e-mail. Please go and appeal this. you had every right to say what you did. you were only trying to protect that person. I am on your side 100%!

there’s nothing wrong with the answers.
just fight the ruling politely but firmly.
the person that complained just didn;t understand the answer fully maybe?
    good luck friend.
