Zone alarm running 24/7, Avg scans automatically every day.

they sure make sense to use, zone alarm has a free version (firewall) and spybots search and destroy is free (anti-spyware) both are as good or better than most of what you can buy

NOD32, Zone Alarm and PestPatrol are the only protection that is active, but I have plenty of manual scanners and tools to check with.
No one scanner can find everything. Multiple scanners are a must. If you don’t know how to configure them so they are not all running at once, it’s best you stick to online scanners like Panda Kaspersky and F-Secure for your 2nd 3rd and 4th opinion.

Yes I have zone alarm, AVG anti virus+antispyware+antirootkit ( all free, but AVG antivirus will be licensed from 15.jan.)
I use full AVG anti-virus anti-spy and firewall…..and a few others
yes and use a third party firewall like zonealarm, norton, etc. Windows firewall is not really secure.
No I use linux dont bother with them.
